Too many places to go and see and photograph and I haven’t even started the seminars yet. But I’m squeezing as much into these six days as possible. I’m gonna need a vacation from the vacation part of this trip.

Huichol and Tepehuano Yarn Paintings →
I didn’t even get out of the San Diego airport before the camera was out of the bag. I could only get a few close-ups from the nine yarn paintings in Terminal 2. They are behind glass and getting around the reflections and glare wasn’t happening with the diffused light of an overcast day. But stay tuned, pics are queued up. And I’ll try get some more when I head out. The vibrancy...

If I had been able to post updates from my flight
you would have read posts such as:
The pilot is trying to avoid turbulence; I think we may have just entered Canadian airspace #no passport #but I’m nice #I can pass
Yes I just wrote hashtags in my notebook #like you’ve never done that
Yep we’re over Canada and look you even have nice clouds
I love the in-flight map; I wave at people as I fly over #you never wave back
...
At the airport about board the time machine
Only going back three hours this trip. I figured it’s best to start small.

Shameless promotion of my Project 52 blog. This post is about the bond between the Saints and New Orleans and why they have already won, whatever the final score on Super Bowl Sunday.
Why you should all root for the Saints
Thanks so much for passing this along

Space
White space plagues my post this week. Empty space where words should appear but I can’t seem to get them to flow through the brain conduits that power my fingers to record them.
This is likely due in part to my workspace being full of new projects. This is a good thing though. There have been many ripples in the fabric of space at work lately, but we seem to have redirected some...
For my fellow members of the Who Dat Nation. Growing up I always heard that football was a religion in the South. And Saints fans have had to have a lot of faith over the years.

Can it be? Can so much greatness have come to us on the same day?
I thought I felt a strange shift in the energy field today. That must be it! Thanks for explaining it. Now I can take off my tin foil hat and put on my party hat. : )

Saints Give Benson a Great Silver Anniversary
It took the Saints 21 years after their birth in 1967 to have their first winning season and now they are finally going to their first Super Bowl. That’s the just the latest in a string of historic moments this year. This is the first time the Saints have hosted the conference championship, the first time they were ranked first in the conference and first time they put together enough...

Aw. Don’t worry I’ll be back to sharing my Manhattan soon but first I have to explore some new turf and get some fresh stuff for the NOLA collection.

If duck were a fish it would be eel ... what?
This is what I came up with while trying to explain what eating eel was like for me. Wow, sometimes I amaze myself with my ability to put words together … in ways that make it sound like I’m a chimp typing existential poetry.
