The exhibit is at the Morris Museum in Morristown, NJ through February 20.
Visitors to the Morris Museum this winter will be delighted by a new exhibition featuring over 25 awe-inspiring and thought-provoking large-scale sculptures created out of LEGO® bricks by artist Nathan Sawaya. While the exhibition is on view, a special area will be set up where visitors, inspired by Sawaya’s work, can build their own fantastic LEGO creations.
Family Outings at the Zoo
Getting to know your giraffe:
- its tongue is 18 inches long;
- its heart pumps about 16 gallons of blood a minute and weighs about 25 pounds;
- its tail is the longest of any land mammal at up to 8 feet long; and
- its jugular vein has a series of one-way valves that prevent blood from backflowing when the giraffe has its head down to drink water, thereby preventing it from blacking out.
